Entry-Level Production Coordinator (Inventory Focus)

This entry-level Production Coordinator role focuses on inventory control and production scheduling within a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. You will spend most of your time in an office setting, with regular visits to the warehouse and production floor to verify inventory, support job order execution, and coordinate materials for manufacturing. The position requires strong attention to detail, comfort with computer systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with production, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure accurate job orders and timely material availability.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and create production job orders to support manufacturing schedules and customer demand.
• Release production job orders according to established schedules and requirements.
• Monitor material availability using SAP and GTWMS systems to support production needs.
• Identify material shortages and communicate risks promptly to Supply Chain and Customer Service teams.
• Coordinate with Production to ensure materials are available when needed to support manufacturing schedules.
• Maintain accurate inventory and material records within company systems.
• Monitor inventory accuracy in both system records and physical production locations.
• Lead and coordinate annual cycle count activities to validate inventory accuracy.
• Understand and reference part numbers, bills of materials, and associated product information.
• Submit and manage job and work orders in the warehouse and production systems.
• Perform inventory counts and cycle counts on the warehouse and production floor.
• Respond to emails and internal requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Work in the office approximately 80% of the time and on the warehouse/production floor approximately 20% of the time to support inventory and production activities.
• Support a fast-paced production and warehouse environment by maintaining organized and accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory and material issues quickly.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment while on the production and warehouse floor.

Essential Skills

• Ability to utilize a computer for daily tasks, including Microsoft Excel and data entry.
• Basic knowledge and experience working in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment.
• Ability to submit and manage job and work orders in a warehouse or production setting.
• Experience counting inventory and performing cycle counts, preferably within an ERP or similar system.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Comfort working with part numbers, bills of materials, and product information.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining inventory and material records.
• Ability to balance office-based tasks with time spent on the warehouse and production floor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with SAP and GTWMS or other enterprise resource planning and warehouse management systems.
• Experience working with production machines, warehouse operations, or manufacturing environments.
• Comfort working around large equipment and machinery such as production machines and forklifts.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic production and warehouse setting.
• Willingness to work a first-shift schedule and support overtime and Saturday work when needed.

Work Environment

The facility operates with approximately 120 employees across first and second shifts. This role primarily follows a first-shift schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with openness to overtime and Saturday work when needed. You will spend about 80% of your time sitting in an office environment and about 20% on the warehouse and production floor. The workplace is a warehouse and workshop setting with variable temperatureshot in the summer and cold in the winterand is subject to heat, cold, noise, dust, and other particles. Large equipment and machinery, including production machines and forklifts, operate regularly in the area. Personal protective equipment is required on the production floor, including steel-toed shoes and safety glasses (with safety glasses provided). The role involves the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, as well as repetitive bending, reaching, and climbing as needed to perform inventory counts and support production activities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
