The role involves accurately checking patients in and out by verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining patient records and accounts. The position also requires maintaining patient flow and providing positive patient relations.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include familiarity with medical billing, front desk and reception skills, good phone and follow-up skills, working with insurance companies and following up with patients for billing and accounts receivable, accounts payable, managing administrative tasks, greeting patients, providing initial paperwork, updating patient records, verifying insurance accurately and timely, determining, collecting, and processing patient payments, responding promptly to customer needs, providing excellent customer service, assisting patients with follow-up appointments, fulfilling medical documentation requests, balancing daily patient charges, completing closing procedures, completing cash control procedures, maintaining complete and accurate documentation, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent. Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred. Previous medical clerical experience preferred. Good computer knowledge, e.g., Microsoft Office. Accuracy and detail orientation. Positive customer service skills. Well-groomed appearance. Clear and articulate phone mannerisms. Compensation: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour.
