Cleanroom Assembler

Location: Garden Grove, CA 92841
Pay Rate: $20 - $21/hr, paid weekly
Schedule: 5:00 AM-1:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Duration: 3-Month Contract

Overview

The Cleanroom Assembler is responsible for welding, assembling, testing, inspecting, and packaging high-purity components used in the semiconductor industry. All work is performed in a controlled cleanroom environment while following detailed work instructions, blueprints, schematics, testing procedures, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, schematics, job orders, and work instructions to determine assembly and testing requirements.
  • Assemble and weld high-purity components according to customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Follow gowning and cleanroom procedures while working in Class 5 and Class 7 cleanroom environments.
  • Use small hand tools, including screwdrivers and adjustable torque wrenches, to assemble components.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, visual scopes, and other precision measuring equipment to verify dimensional requirements.
  • Perform air and water testing on completed components according to established test procedures.
  • Troubleshoot components that fail testing and perform necessary repairs.
  • Clean, label, and package completed components according to product specifications.
  • Assist the Quality Department with troubleshooting returned products and identifying potential root causes.
  • Complete required documentation for warranty and non-warranty repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Support additional production activities as directed by the Shift Supervisor or Lead.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a Class 5 or Class 7 cleanroom environment.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics, job orders, and written work instructions.
  • Experience using welding tools and basic quality inspection equipment.
  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, visual scopes, and other measuring instruments.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to operate pneumatic and water testing equipment.
  • Strong manual dexterity for welding, assembly, measuring, and testing.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
