Shipping & Receiving CoordinatorMetals Usa Flat Rolled Group is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator for our Springfield, OH location. Prepares shipping documents associated with each truck including bill of lading; prints tags to identify material.Verifies that all shipments are accurate and not damaged prior to departure from the facility.Stores materials and supplies within the warehouse according to company procedures.Manages shipping supplies inventories according to company procedures.Manages finished goods inventory per company policies.Signs for incoming deliveries as required; loads and unloads delivery trailers/trucks by hand or with material handling equipment as needed.Forwards shipping and receiving documentation in a neat and orderly manner.Records shipping and receiving details to the appropriate department on a regular and timely basis.Fills out production paperwork, follows shop system data collection procedures and follows inspection procedures on a daily basis.Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas.Notifies management of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions, and or personal injuries.Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of a shipping clerk effectively.Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.Adheres to Reliance Steel and Aluminum's Code of Conduct as well as customer confidentiality requirements.Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.Supplemental Duties & Responsibilities:Performs other related duties as assigned.Requirements:High School Graduate or EquivalentMust possess excellent Oral/Written/Reading Communication SkillsBasic math skills are requiredAbility to inspect material for quality conformance through the use of measuring devicesAbility to prioritize and focus while multi-taskingAbility to demonstrate professionalism, diplomacy and confidentiality in all communicationsFunctional Computer Literacy to include Microsoft Products and StelplanValid OSHA Forklift Certification (if assisting as a production worker)Valid OSHA Overhead Crane certification (if assisting as a production worker)Working Conditions:Working inside and outside of the warehouse; may be exposed to extreme cold and heat; rain and snow conditions, wet and dryModerate to loud noise levelsVibrationOils, dust, fumes and metallic particlesDay and night shiftsPhysical Requirements:Occupation requires physical activity more than 66% of the time (> 5.5 hours per day)Stand, walk, sit, handling/fingering, reach outward, reach above shoulder, climb, squat or kneel or bendUse hands to handle objects, tools or controlsLift, carry, push and/or pull 51 -- 100 lbs. with assistanceMust wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE)Steel-toed bootsHard hats with chin straps are required; chin straps must be worn on elevated surfacesProtective eyewearHand protectionArm guards/ sleevesHearing protection if required by the hearing conservation programMetals Usa offers competitive wages and benefits plus upward mobility towards professional growth.Metals Usa is committed to protecting our employees by creating and maintaining a workplace free of substance abuse.Metals Usa provides equal employment opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability.
