Customer Service SpecialistPosition OverviewThe Customer Service Specialist plays a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers by serving as the primary point of contact for communication, feedback, and follow-up. This position is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, coordinating cross-functional support, and aligning internal teams with customer expectations to drive sales growth and achieve revenue objectives.Key Responsibilities+ Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments, including Purchasing, Production, Quality, Accounting, and Operations across multiple manufacturing sites.+ Manage customer support activities related to purchase orders, order entry, production scheduling, shipment confirmations, delivery updates, and post-sale follow-up.+ Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and creative problem-solving.+ Support sales, manufacturing, procurement, and delivery schedules to ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met.+ Analyze and communicate product costs, margins, pricing, and customer requirements in a collaborative team environment.+ Support Regional Sales Managers by providing quotes, pricing information, delivery status updates, and customer feedback.+ Prepare and generate sales reports, backlog reports, sales projections, and other business metrics for weekly reviews and senior management presentations.+ Process and manage customer RFQs (Requests for Quote) and ensure timely responses.+ Handle complex order entry for large purchase orders containing multiple components and configurations.+ Maintain accurate records within the ERP/MRP system and ensure data integrity throughout the order lifecycle.Required Qualifications+ 2-4+ years of customer service, customer support, or account management experience within contract manufacturing, electronics manufacturing services (EMS), or a related industry.+ Experience supporting aerospace, defense, medical device, or similar regulated manufacturing customers is highly preferred.+ Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems (any platform).+ Strong understanding of purchase orders, order processing, and customer quotations.+ Experience managing RFQs and customer quote generation.+ Ability to work with high-mix, low-volume and made-to-order manufacturing environments.+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.+ Typing speed of 60+ WPM.+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.+ Must be ITAR compliant.+ Bachelor's degree preferred.Required Skills+ Customer Service+ Customer Support+ ERP/MRP Systems+ RFQs/RFPs+ Order Entry+ Purchase Order Processing+ Microsoft Office Suite+ Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)+ Customer Quotations+ Cross-Functional CoordinationJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
