Administrative Intern – Next Care Hospice

Next Care Hospice is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Intern to support our team in delivering compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care. Position Overview:

The Administrative Intern will assist with day-to-day office operations and provide support to clinical and administrative staff. This role is ideal for students or individuals interested in healthcare administration, social services, or nonprofit operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining patient records in compliance with confidentiality standards
• Support scheduling and coordination of patient visits and staff assignments
• Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner
• Help prepare documents, reports, and correspondence
• Assist with onboarding paperwork for volunteers and staff
• Provide general administrative support to the hospice team as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
• Interest in healthcare, hospice, or nonprofit work preferred

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Current TB test (or willingness to obtain)
• Background check may be required
• Reliable transportation preferred
