Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Surgery Scheduler responsible for managing a high volume of surgical schedules, obtaining procedure authorizations, and communicating effectively with medical providers and patients. The role involves scheduling surgeries, pre-op, and post-op appointments, coordinating with multiple providers, and ensuring seamless communication across all channels.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Schedule approximately 20 surgeries per week and manage workflows for 2-3 providers.
• Coordinate scheduling for various surgical specialties, including complex procedures.
• Handle pre-operation, post-operation scheduling, and obtain authorization for procedures.
• Communicate surgery schedules to hospitals or surgical centers efficiently.
• Assist call centers in scheduling regular appointments and manage various communication channels.
• Maintain and manage the surgery schedule, keeping in close communication with providers.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements

Qualifications

• 2+ years of surgery scheduling experience.
• Experience in orthopedics is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in submitting authorizations through insurance portals.
• Experience with managing schedules and sending orders to primary care provider offices.

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in surgery scheduling.
• Orthopedics experience is preferred.

Schedule / Shift

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM on site.
