Nikkiso ACD has the most diversified product line in the industry covering nearly every application requiring pumps or turboexpanders.This position is based at Nikkiso ACD, LLC, located in Santa Ana, CA.Job OverviewProvides input and oversight of routings and bills of material (BOMs) in support of material resource planning (ERP) requirements. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and working with the production team to support the scheduling of orders and scheduled customer commitments; working closely with internal departments such as manufacturing, procurement, materials, engineering, quality, and logistics to ensure timely communication of lead times, schedule impacts and changes, material shortages, etc.ResponsibilitiesImplementing and improving work order routers with manufacturing engineer helpCreating work order packages: consisting of pick tickets, prints with correct revision level and routers per the Planning scheduleMonitor work orders to ensure schedules are being metConfers with department management to determine the status of assigned projectsExpedites operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditionsWhen necessary, informs Purchasing to expedite specific material in order to meet delivery commitmentsEnsures system integrity through maintenance of production schedule and work ordersMonitors ERP, shortage lists, and related indicators to determine 100% material availability and to ensure 100% on-time customer deliveryParticipate in teams to help make necessary improvements and changes to all process-related issuesAttends cross-functional activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering to ensure a smooth flow of materials through the production processesIdentifies and communicates a detailed status on any material planning items impacting the production schedule (e.g., part shortages)Ensure that workflows, processes and products comply with safety regulationsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED requiredBachelor's Degree preferred5 - 6 years of experience in planning and/or production controlExperience utilizing an ERP/MRP systemGood investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detailAbility to think logically and methodicallyGood interpersonal and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDecision-making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactivelyProficient in Microsoft Office Word and ExcelUnderstanding of standard manufacturing and safety compliance processesExperience with Marine Class societies preferredWork Environment and Physical DemandsEmployee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, or controlsOvertime may be necessary as the workload dictates.
