Temp, Materials $19 - $21 an hourJOB OVERVIEWThe Temp, Materials, is responsible for helping facilitate all fabric and trim development. This individual will partner with the cross-functional teams to support the execution of seasonal fabric and trim developments that meet all aesthetic requirements and align with sourcing strategy and cost targets.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare fabric packages and send them to potential mills/vendors for sourcingPrepare packages for lab dips and strike-offs for material developmentManage all development files, seasonal recaps, and processes statusesManage all fabric submissions, developments, and approvalsMaintain fabric and trim reference libraries for existing and future garmentsMaintain lap dips and strike offs filesMeasure samples as neededTrack samples with vendorsReceive and distribute packages within the materials department/teamAssist with data entry projects, as neededTECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)Proficient in Microsoft applicationsStrong organizational skillsAbility to measure garmentsAbility to prioritize workflow based on deadlinesAbility to problem-solve and communicate all issues to cross-functional departmentsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree or technical trade school and equivalentMinimum 1-year experience in materials and apparel product developmentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment. Extensive use of office equipment, including computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business-related machines and software.
