Part-Time Cook

The Hilton Garden Inn is seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Cook to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with brand standards, ensuring quality, consistency, and food safety at all times.

Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with Hilton Garden Inn brand standards, recipes, and food safety guidelines. This role ensures consistent food quality, proper presentation, and timely service while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and plate food items according to standardized recipes and brand specifications.
  • Ensure food quality, taste, temperature, and presentation meet Hilton Garden Inn standards.
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
  • Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, or room service preparation as assigned.
  • Set up and break down kitchen stations before and after service.
  • Monitor food inventory, rotate stock, and minimize waste following FIFO standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Comply with all company policies, health department regulations, and safety standards.
  • Comply with certification requirements as applicable to position.
  • Carries out other related duties as directed by hotel leadership to support operational needs.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills • Availability to work Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
