Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 07/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Position: Nuclear Medicine Tech Location: Orange, CA 92868 Shift: Days 5x8 -Hours (09:00 - 17:30) Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Travel Pay Rate: $3,301 weekly $34.05/hr w2 $1,939/week stipend Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join our healthcare team in Orange, California . The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and advanced imaging equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions. This role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional patient care skills, and strict adherence to radiation safety standards. Duties Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Perform high-quality nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including SPECT, PET, and other diagnostic studies. Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment to ensure accurate and high-quality diagnostic results. Prepare and position patients for procedures while providing education and ensuring comfort throughout the exam. Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately when necessary. Process, review, and evaluate images for technical quality and completeness prior to physician interpretation. Maintain accurate patient records, procedure documentation, and radiation exposure records. Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care. Participate in quality assurance activities and routine equipment testing. Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with state and federal regulations. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program. Current ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB certification required. Current California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License required. Current BLS certification required. Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience Required.
