Voice Assistant Test Specialist

Payrate: $61.00- $62.00/hr. Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Voice Assistant Test Specialist to support the validation and development of in-vehicle voice assistant systems. The ideal candidate is fluent in Portuguese and English and will help ensure accurate voice command recognition, response behavior, and system performance. This role involves testing voice interactions, translating phrases, documenting issues, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve system functionality.

Responsibilities:

• Perform voice command testing in Portuguese to validate system recognition and response accuracy.
• Provide support for voice command testing in English as needed.
• Conduct testing on a lab test bench and occasionally within a vehicle environment.
• Translate English voice command phrases into Portuguese for system testing and validation.
• Verify vehicle voice assistant responses to ensure correct functionality and language accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the system behaves correctly as development progresses.
• Identify, document, and track defects found during testing activities.
• Verify system fixes and improvements under the guidance of technical or field experts.
• Assist in creating and maintaining testing documentation when required.
• Support occasional software or configuration updates on test vehicles.

Required Qualifications:

• Fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured testing procedures.
• Ability to clearly document issues and test results.
• Basic technical aptitude and comfort working with software or electronic systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional language skills in French and Spanish
• Experience with voice assistants, speech recognition systems, or software testing.
• Experience in automotive systems or vehicle testing environments.
• Familiarity with bug tracking or test documentation tools.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $61.00- $62.00/hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
