This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial reporting through the application of consistent accounting principles and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong accrual accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to manage large datasets while supporting cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities:Lead month-end close processes, including preparation and review of financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesOwn and manage complex accrual calculations and related analysesResearch, analyze, and document budget-to-actual variancesPrepare detailed financial analyses and reporting schedules to support leadership decision-makingReview and approve ledger adjustments as neededPartner with internal departments to provide accounting support and financial guidanceLeverage technology and Excel tools (including PivotTables and Power Query) to streamline reporting and improve processesMaintain and enhance internal documentation and proceduresLead meetings and assist with training initiatives as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 5 years of accounting experience with strong accrual-based GAAP knowledgeAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, and experience working with large data sets (Power Query preferred)Experience with ERP systems; exposure to systems such as MRI or SAP is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated with strong independent decision-making capabilitiesEEO Statement:Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
