Rebar Worker (Direct Hire) Construction / Concrete Reinforcement | Local Candidates Only

We are seeking an experienced Rebar Worker (Reinforcing Ironworker) for a direct hire opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication, placement, and installation of reinforcing steel (rebar) used in concrete structures. You will ensure structural integrity, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications across a variety of construction projects.

This position is open to local candidates only. Relocation assistance is not available, and candidates requiring relocation will not be considered.

This role is ideal for professionals with experience in construction, concrete reinforcement, steel installation, or ironworking.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction blueprints, engineering drawings, and project specifications
• Measure, cut, bend, and tie rebar using hand tools and power equipment
• Install rebar within concrete forms, foundations, slabs, and structures
• Ensure proper spacing, alignment, and secure fastening of reinforcing steel
• Conduct quality control inspections to meet safety and engineering standards
• Collaborate with construction crews, foremen, and project managers
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site in compliance with OSHA regulations

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in rebar installation, ironwork, or construction labor
• Strong knowledge of rebar fabrication and placement techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Must currently reside within commuting distance of the job site (local applicants only)

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in rebar installation, ironworking, or related trades
• Experience with rebar benders, cutters, and tying tools
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations
• Background in commercial or infrastructure construction projects

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with rebar tools (cutters, benders, tie wire, pliers)
• Familiarity with concrete pouring and reinforcement processes
• Understanding of construction site safety procedures

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• Ability to work in fast-paced construction environments

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $24.00 - $35.00 Per Hour
