JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Store Team Leader is responsible to assist the Store Team Leader in overseeing daily store operations and provide overall leadership and direction to achieve profitable operation of the retail store as assigned. The Assistant helps ensure that the goals offull, fresh, clean, signed and friendly are achieved. The assistant drives and maintains a positive working environment that engages and empowers all associates. The Assistant is responsible to help develop and train the store department team leaders, the Second Assistant, and associates to continually grow their capacity for efficiency, effectiveness and service. The Assistant coordinates and directs the overall operations of the store in the absence of the Store Team Leader. The Assistant is responsible to engage in learning activities necessary to prepare for potential assignment as a Store Team Leader.
