As the Design Manager you will serve as a key leader within the Design Team, overseeing the full design process for assigned projects. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with senior leadership to implement architectural design strategies, standards, and vision that align with the company Engage, manage, and collaborate with external architectural partners to ensure project success. Establish and manage design schedules, milestone dates, and deliverables in alignment with overall project timelines. Partner with internal teams - including project management, quality control, and executive leadership - on planning, design, and project execution. Contribute to the development, evolution, and documentation of architectural design principles, including design quality standards, processes, strategies, and planning requirements. Actively collaborate with construction teams to ensure cohesive design execution and alignment with project requirements. Research, evaluate, and implement innovative design solutions to improve quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness, including procurement strategies, product standardization, and material/furniture selection. Partner with local development teams on zoning and entitlements to inform design strategies. Refresh and adapt design strategies to reflect shifts in client behavior, competitive insights, and industry trends. Foster a team culture that promotes creativity, innovation, accountability, and high standards of performance. Other duties as assigned Qualification & Experience BA/BS in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field Minimum 7 years' project management experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of the building design process and the ability to schedule and coordinate design activities. Must have management skills capable of dealing effectively with architectural firms, interior design firms, and contractors. Show sensitivity to and concern for the interest and needs of others, working to reduce conflict and establish smooth working relationships.
