Project Manager

We are partnering with a commercial HVAC contractor seeking a Project Manager with strong construction experience, ideally in HVAC or Refrigeration. This role involves overseeing projects from planning through execution, with responsibilities split between the office and field. The right candidate will bring a steady work history, strong leadership, and technical knowledge to manage budgets, schedules, and client communication effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee HVAC/R construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure project milestones are met
• Create and update schedules, track budgets, and maintain project documentation
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
• Coordinate with engineering and field personnel to resolve issues in real-time
• Conduct job walks, safety inspections, and subcontractor meetings
• Maintain clean reporting and communication across all phases of the project
• Travel to job sites regularly (50% field, 50% office)

Qualifications

• 35+ years of construction experience (HVAC or refrigeration preferred)
• Background in managing or supporting mechanical trades projects
• Clean driving record and background required
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Proficient with construction management tools and Microsoft Office
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proven employment history with long-term roles (no job hoppers)
