OEM Americas Key Account Manager

A global aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced OEM Key Account Manager to lead and expand strategic relationships across major defense OEMs in the Americas, including customers such as Lockheed Martin, Sikorski, with Northrop Gruman, etc.

This role is designed for a senior aerospace sales leader who understands how to influence complex OEM programs, shape technical requirements early, and orchestrate cross-functional execution across engineering, programs, operations, and executive leadership. The position plays a critical role in long-cycle, high-value aerospace pursuits within regulated and security-sensitive environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Strategic OEM Growth Build and execute comprehensive account strategies that position products and technologies early in aircraft and defense platforms while cultivating executive-level relationships across assigned OEMs.
  • Shape and Capture New Business Identify upcoming program opportunities, influence RFIs/RFPs, and coordinate competitive proposal efforts to secure multi-year, multi-program contracts.
  • Align Technical & Commercial Roadmaps Translate customer program needs into actionable insights for product management, engineering, and R&D teams to ensure technology alignment and long-term platform positioning.
  • Lead Commercial Execution & Compliance Support complex contract negotiations, ensure regulatory compliance (FAR/DFARS, ITAR, export controls), and drive forecast accuracy, account profitability, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • Industry Experience 8+ years of aerospace key account management experience supporting OEMs in defense sectors.
  • Commercial & Contract Expertise Demonstrated success negotiating and managing complex aerospace agreements with disciplined pipeline forecasting and account planning.
  • Technical & Market Acumen Strong understanding of aerospace systems, platform lifecycles, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
  • Education & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred); U.S. Citizenship required; security clearance active or obtainable preferred.

Location: Irvine, CA (3 days office /2 remote) - Can sit out of Grand Prairie, TX as well

Travel: 40%-60% - depending how close you live to clients

Salary $140K $180K base salary (possible flex) + 11% incentive compensation.
