Mechanical Engineer II

Location: Irvine, CA

Duration: 6+ months

Summary:

Supports design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems and equipment. Works on medium-complexity projects under general supervision and collaborates with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze mechanical equipment and systems
• Perform calculations to validate design suitability
• Support assembly, testing, and troubleshooting (especially environmental/thermal systems)
• Contribute to project tasks or sub-projects
• Prepare reports and present designs to teams and customers
• Guide junior engineers when needed

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in design, analysis, and development
• Knowledge of thermodynamics and mechanical design
• Hands-on testing and hardware experience required
• Aerospace/defense experience preferred
• Thermal systems experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with electrical circuits/control theory is a plus
• Strong communication and presentation skills
