Responsibilities

• Oversee all finance and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements while managing AR/AP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax reporting, and internal audits across multiple affiliated entities
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures; lead the month‑end and year‑end close processes and prepare accurate, timely financial statements and performance analyses
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate finance staff, making staffing decisions, conducting performance reviews, and managing disciplinary actions in alignment with company policy
• Drive financial planning and strategic analysis by evaluating performance trends, identifying operational gaps, assessing risks, and partnering with senior leadership and operations to develop solutions
• Coordinate with external partners—including auditors, banks, insurance providers, and tax specialists—while managing sales tax compliance for numerous states and overseeing balance‑sheet reconciliations and capital asset projects
• Produce detailed reports, KPIs, and ad hoc analyses; lead process‑improvement initiatives using financial metrics and operational insights to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and organizational effectiveness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred, with 5+ years of accounting and financial management experience
• Candidates from the material handling or warehouse automation industry a must
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial practices, and state/federal regulations, with strong proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP platforms, accounting software, and Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams, evaluating performance, and overseeing multiple projects in deadline‑driven environments
• Exceptional analytical and reporting skills, including data mining, pivot tables, financial analysis, and problem‑solving across all phases of business operations

Salary: $140k - $170k
