Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of employment litigation experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in employment law and be comfortable managing cases independently, while also working collaboratively with a team of experienced attorneys. Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of employment law matters from intake through resolution
Conduct legal research and draft complaints, discovery, motions, and legal briefs
Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
Advise clients on their legal rights, risks, and potential outcomes
Participate in strategy development with partners and team members
Represent clients in negotiations and court proceedings
Second or third-chair jury trial and arbitrations
Key Skills & Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the California Bar
1-3 years of employment law litigation experience, preferably on the plaintiff side
Proficiency in managing wrongful termination and sexual harassment litigation
Strong knowledge of California 91604, Los Angeles, California, United States employment laws and civil procedure both on a state and federal level
Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
Effective oral advocacy and client communication abilities
Experience conducting and responding to discovery, taking depositions, and preparing for trial
Strong organizational and case management skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to representing employees with integrity and empathy
Preferred Attributes
Previous experience in wrongful termination and sexual harassment litigation
Comfortable using case management software and legal research tools
Proactive, driven, and passionate about employee advocacy
Ability to thrive in a collaborative and mission-driven environment
