This role is critical to maintaining patient safety and infection control standards. Key Responsibilities Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment Disassemble and reassemble complex instruments per IFUs Assemble and package instrument trays accurately Operate washers, autoclaves, and sterilization equipment Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage Document sterilization cycles, inventory, and discrepancies Follow ANSI/AAMI standards, SOPs, and manufacturer IFUs Maintain clean, organized workstations and decontamination areas Communicate effectively with team members and operations staff Requirements Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience Knowledge of: Decontamination, assembly, and sterilization processes Surgical instruments and tray assembly Infection control practices Experience with sterilization equipment (autoclaves, washers) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures Basic computer skills for tracking and documentation Certifications CRCST, CIS, or equivalent required Education High school diploma or equivalent ⭐ Why This Role Early shift (6:00 AM start) – finish your day by mid-afternoon Contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term growth Stable 40-hour work week Hands-on role in a high-impact healthcare environment Additional Details Clinical support role within Sterile Processing department Must maintain accuracy, quality, and infection control standards Team-oriented environment with ongoing training 497049 About Healthcare Support Healthcare Support excels at providing a streamlined and red-carpet experience for our travelers.
