A highly regarded business litigation law firm is seeking an experienced Employment & Commercial Litigation Attorney to support its growing litigation and employer defense practice. The firm is recognized for advising business clients on risk mitigation, litigation strategy, regulatory compliance, and complex dispute resolution matters involving employment law and commercial disputes.

The Employment & Commercial Litigation Attorney will manage sophisticated litigation matters involving employment disputes, class action defense, PAGA claims, arbitration proceedings, and business litigation strategy. This role offers an excellent partner-track position within Cerritos legal jobs and California employment litigation practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent business clients in employment litigation, commercial disputes, class action defense matters, and PAGA litigation

• Manage litigation matters independently from intake through trial and resolution

• Conduct legal research and prepare litigation strategies for sophisticated disputes

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, arbitration filings, and legal memoranda

• Conduct depositions, attend hearings, and represent clients in court proceedings and arbitration matters

• Advise businesses regarding legal compliance, employment policies, and operational risk management

• Draft and review contracts, agreements, settlement documents, and related business records

• Represent clients during negotiations involving business disputes, contracts, mergers, acquisitions, and settlements

• Monitor legal developments and proactively address ongoing or potential legal risks for clients

• Maintain communication with clients regarding litigation developments, strategy, and legal recommendations

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Active membership in the California State Bar and good standing required

• Minimum of 4+ years of civil litigation experience

• Strong experience handling employment litigation, class action defense, and PAGA matters

• Proven ability to independently manage cases through trial and arbitration proceedings

• Excellent legal research, writing, and drafting skills

• Strong negotiation and strategic problem-solving abilities

• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated litigation matters efficiently

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Strong leadership capabilities and ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Relevant certifications in litigation or business law preferred but not required
