Vice President of Sales

Role Overview
The Vice President of Sales will serve as a key member of our executive team, providing strategic direction for all sales operations across our dealer network, fleet sales, and direct customer channels. This role demands a leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, someone who understands both the art and science of sales in the automotive manufacturing sector.
You will be instrumental in shaping our go-to-market strategies, optimizing our sales processes, and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability throughout the sales organization. Your leadership will directly impact our market share growth, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute short- and long-term sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives
- Identify new market opportunities (EV, autonomous, aftermarket, global expansion)
- Establish pricing strategies and margin targets
Revenue & Business Growth
- Own revenue targets, forecasts, and sales pipeline management
- Drive business development with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and distributors
- Expand market share across product lines and geographic regions
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key automotive customers
- Lead contract negotiations, long-term agreements, and RFQ responses
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales organization
- Set KPIs, quotas, and performance metrics
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to align customer requirements with production capabilities
- Work with finance on pricing, profitability, and forecasting
- Collaborate with marketing on branding, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies
Market Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends (e.g., electrification, sustainability, regulatory changes)
- Analyze competitors and adjust strategies accordingly
- Provide insights to guide product development and innovation
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
Experience
- 1215+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in automotive manufacturing
- Proven track record of driving multimillion-dollar revenue growth
- Experience working with OEMs and/or Tier suppliers
- Strong background in complex B2B sales cycles and contract negotiations
