Position: Purchaser Expeditor

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Position Type: Full-Time / Hourly

Compensation: $30 - $35 per hour (DOE)

Reports To: Purchasing Manager / Supply Chain Leadership

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented, highly responsive Purchaser Expeditor to ensure purchase orders are executed flawlessly from placement through delivery.

This role is critical to maintain service levels, bridging the gap between vendors, purchasing, and operations to eliminate delays, resolve issues quickly, and keep product flowing.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and manage open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
• Proactively follow up with vendors on order status, confirmations, and shipment timelines
• Identify and resolve delays, shortages, and backorders
• Communicate updates clearly to internal stakeholders (Purchasing, Sales, Operations)
• Maintain accurate PO data, including dates, quantities, and status updates in ERP systems
• Coordinate with vendors on expedited shipments when necessary
• Support inventory availability by ensuring timely inbound product flow
• Escalate critical supply issues and propose solutions
• Assist with vendor performance tracking and reporting

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, expediting, supply chain, or vendor coordination
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and follow-up discipline
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with ERP systems (Prophet 21/P21 or similar preferred)
• Proficiency in Excel and basic reporting
• Self-starter who can work independently
