The PCT ll is a dual role Patient Care Tech/ Telemetry Tech that has the ability to demonstrate the competency to function in either role independently. Under general supervision by the RN, the dual role Patient Care Tech is responsible for providing basic nursing care for in-patients and out-patients as needed, within their specified area. The Telemetry Tech accurately monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms for adult and geriatric patients, posts rhythm strips and keeps the Registered Nurse and Charge Nurse informed of changes in rhythm. The Patient Care Tech/ Tele Tech is responsible for collecting and reporting information to the supervising RN and completion of all patient care related documentation.
