Product Photographer

Description:

Purpose:

  • Provide primary photography support and handle high-volume product imaging; secondary responsibility for basic video capture and editing to support marketing content.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Capture high-quality product photos (studio/catalog style) at high throughput (20–30 images/day expected initially).

  • Operate automated product imaging equipment (the "ordering machine") to produce multi-angle product shots.

  • Perform basic product styling, staging, and post-shoot QC to ensure consistency with brand standards.

  • Edit and retouch product images to ready them for the catalog/CMS.

  • Capture B-roll and short-form video assets (product cutaways, location/building shots) as requested.

  • Edit and repurpose existing video assets into short social clips and marketing-ready pieces.

  • Organize, catalog, and upload images/videos to company asset library or CMS.

  • Follow scheduling, turnaround, and file-naming conventions; communicate status and blockers to content/marketing leads.

  • Participate in candidate handoffs, basic coordination with merchandising/content teams.

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience shooting product/catalog photography in a studio environment.

  • Hands-on experience with automated product photography rigs or ability to learn the "ordering machine" workflow quickly.

  • Proficiency in photo editing and retouching (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or equivalent).

  • Basic video capture skills (camera operation, framing, lighting) and familiarity with video editing tools (CapCut/Canva)

  • Strong file management and asset uploading experience (naming, organizing, cataloging into a CMS).

Preferred:

  • Experience editing and repurposing long-form video into social-ready clips.

  • Ability to operate lighting setups, backgrounds, and basic product styling for consistent catalog imagery.

  • Familiarity with e-commerce image specs and SKU-driven catalog requirements.

  • Experience with YouTube asset management and basic metadata handling.

  • Prior experience working within a fast-paced product/content team.

Pay Transparency: The starting annual salary for this opportunity ranges from $30-$32 per hour. Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance. Company provides a variety of benefits to employees, including medical, dental and vision insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO). Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate for this position. It assumes a rate based on location and experience.
