We are currently hiring a Plant Manager for our CNC precision machining operation located in Cypress, California. Our plant operates two shifts, has 32 employees, and runs 13 machines within an 11,000 square foot facility. Backed by strong financial investment and positioned for continued growth, this is an opportunity to lead a high-performing operation at a critical stage.
Reporting directly to the COO & President of Threadlock, the Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of the plant's operational performance, including full P&L responsibility, managing the production process, coordinating across plant and support functions, and effectively managing resources to achieve operational, financial, and production goals. This role is instrumental in supporting the company's growth by ensuring the operation is scalable, efficient, and capable of meeting increasing customer demand, while maintaining high safety standards and a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct and run day-to-day operations, ensuring on-time delivery, quality performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive improvements in throughput, asset utilization, and scheduling while managing cost and maintaining or improving quality standards.
- Establish clear operational metrics, review performance daily, and lead corrective actions when targets are missed.
- Recruit, manage and develop plant staff and build and maintain trusting relationships
- Collect and analyze operational data to identify waste, bottlenecks, and unnecessary overtime,. Develop countermeasures.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing, vendor, inspection ,and customer design issues
- Lead plant safety procedures and commit to achieving a best-in-class safety record
- Own production planning and execution across all shifts, balancing customer demand, capacity, labor, and inventory.
- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
- Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts and incorporate these into plant operations
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 5 years of experience as a Plant Manager or Sr. Operations Leadership experience of a CNC precision manufacturing facility supporting Aerospace and Defense markets.

Skills and Competencies
- Manufacturing Team Leadership & Workforce Execution: Proven ability to lead and develop shop floor teams, driving performance, accountability, and engagement in a results-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Business & Operational Acumen: Strong understanding of plant operations, including cost control, resource allocation, capacity planning, and workforce optimization to drive financial and operational results.
- Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing Expertise: Deep familiarity with the standards, quality requirements, and expectations of CNC precision manufacturing for aerospace and defense markets.
- New Product Introduction (NPI) Execution: Experience leading and supporting NPI efforts through close collaboration with programming, engineering, and operations to ensure successful transition to production.
- Technical Proficiency in CNC Operations: Solid understanding of CNC machining processes, including mills, lathes, and grinding, with the ability to engage technically and troubleshoot production issues.
- End-to-End Operational Process Knowledge: Working knowledge of key plant processes, including safety, quality, productivity, and inventory management, with the ability to drive consistency and performance.
- Systems & ERP Utilization: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., ProShop) and related tools to manage operations and support data-driven decision-making.
- Accountability-Driven Leadership: Ability to set clear expectations, drive ownership, and lead by example to ensure execution against business objectives.
- Leadership, Decision-Making & People Management: Strong leadership presence with the ability to build high-performing teams, make sound decisions, and effectively manage and develop talent.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Salary: Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
- Pay Range: $125,000 to $200,000 plus bonus
