A company is looking for an Outpatient Acute Care Coder.Key ResponsibilitiesAssign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to patient charts using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCSReview hospital outpatient medical documentation to ensure proper coding, billing, and complianceUtilize encoder software to validate coding accuracy and meet medical necessity requirementsRequired QualificationsOne to three years of experience in medical record coding in an acute care settingHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferredAHIMA or AAPC certification required (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC)Functional knowledge of EMR, encoder, and CDI toolsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications
