Responsibilities

• Record, verify, and consolidate all accounting transactions to ensure the general ledger is accurate and complete.
• Execute the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation and posting of adjusting journal entries and accruals.
• Prepare accurate balance sheets, income statements, and other standardized accounting reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, subsidiary ledgers, and balance sheet accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage the fixed asset register, including recording acquisitions, calculating depreciation, and processing disposals.
• Prepare work papers, schedules, and supporting documentation to facilitate internal and external accounting audits.
• Review and verify the accuracy of accounts payable and accounts receivable postings to ensure they align with the general ledger.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 1-2 years of progressive experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications for data organization.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal accounting controls.
• Certification: Professional accounting certification (such as CPA) is preferred but not required.
