Position SummaryWe are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. Your duties will include performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our occupational medicine clinic.DescriptionWe are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. Your duties will include performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our occupational medicine clinic.Schedule: PRN (as needed) coverage, including weeknights from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM & weekends from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AMCompensation: Starting compensation range is $21.00-$24.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.ResponsibilitiesAssist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting with billing and coding tasksAnswering phone calls and responding to patient inquiriesVerifying insurance coverage and processing insurance claimsPerforming basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medicationsAssisting our providers with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood samples and other clinical dutiesMaintaining cleanliness and organization in the back office and exam roomsProviding patient education and answering patient questionsEnsure compliance with all healthcare regulations and ethical standardsFollow company policies, procedures, and directivesCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the practiceAssisting with medical procedures as needed.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of a Medical Assistant program preferredCertification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferredKnowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medicationsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively as a teamAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and excellent organizational skillsPrevious experience as a medical assistant preferredBilingual in Spanish preferredWhy You Should Join Our TeamAgile Occupational Medicine is a leading occupational medicine group with a network of 43 clinics and one surgery center dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to businesses and their employees across California and Yuma, Arizona.
