We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our growing Personal Injury and Mass Torts practice. This is a full-time, in-office position ideal for a motivated attorney with 5–6 years of litigation experience who is comfortable independently managing cases while collaborating with adynamic legal team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, strategic, client-focused, and committed to achieving excellent results.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a caseload of personal injury and mass tort matters from inception through resolution
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement demands
• Handle depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and court appearances
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurance carriers
• Analyze medical records, liability issues, and damages
• Collaborate with partners, associates, paralegals, and support staff to develop case strategy
• Ensure compliance with all court deadlines and firm procedures
• Provide supervision and mentorship to legal assistants as needed
Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active and good-standing license to practice law in California
• 5–6 years of experience in personal injury litigation; mass tort experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable handling cases involving sexual abuse and other sensitive issues
• Proven ability to independently manage cases and deadlines
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience with discovery, depositions, and settlement negotiations
• Professional demeanor with excellent client communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
