Human Resources Generalist (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Laguna Woods, CA

Pay Rate: $70,000-$75,000 annually (contract-to-hire)

Overview

LHH is partnering with an established organization of approximately800-900 employees to identify a Human Resources Generalist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Laguna Woods. This role supports full-cycle HR operations in a union environment and requires bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full-cycle HR support across employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for exempt and non-exempt roles, including coordination with hiring managers
  • Administer employee benefits and serve as a point of contact for benefit-related questions
  • Support union workforce activities, including contract interpretation and day-to-day HR guidance
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR data within Ceridian HRIS
  • Assist with performance management, employee investigations, and policy application
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Partner with leadership to support HR initiatives and process improvements
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
  • Hands-on experience supporting full-cycle HR functions, including recruiting and benefits
  • Prior experience working in a union environment
  • Proficiency with Ceridian HRIS or similar HR systems
  • Strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
