We are actively seeking a Data Engineer for a 9-month contract position for our client in the Lake Forest, CA area. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite work two days per week. Our client is looking for a proactive problem-solver to maintain, support, and enhance their existing production systems. The ideal candidate needs to be skilled with SQL Server, T-SQL, SSRS and SSIS and should be passionate about data, possess excellent troubleshooting / debugging skills, manage multiple tasks effectively, and communicate clearly with business users and stakeholders.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 9+ months

Location: hybrid in Lake Forest, CA; 2-3 days a week

Compensation: Starts at $60/hour (W2 only, no C2C). Rate may vary based on experience and skillset

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.

• Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports and SSIS ETL processes.

• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production environments.

Required Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in T-SQL programming.

• Strong experience with SSIS and SSRS.

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Previous experience with Visual Basic is preferred
