We are hiring an AP/Junior Accountant to join a growing accounting team. Great opportunity to join a very well-established and stable company.

Temp to Hire position. Will move to hybrid schedule once all training is completed.

Hot Buttons: Must have strong understanding of debits and credits and strong journal entry experience.

What You'll Do

• Review job closeout packages, including purchase orders, invoices, and project charges
• Research variances and resolve discrepancies
• Reconcile project costs and transfer them to fixed asset system
• Set up new fixed assets and retire replaced assets with proper documentation
• Prepare and post journal entries with accurate debits and credits
• Reclassify costs and record offsetting journal entries as needed
• Analyze project costs against budgets
• Prepare final cost summaries for closed projects
• Ensure all required documentation, approvals, and support are complete and accurate

What We're Looking For

• Strong understanding of debits and credits
• Solid experience with journal entries
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
• Experience reviewing invoices or POs (AP background is a plus)
• Fixed asset experience not required
