Marketing Analytics Measurement And Optimization Manager

The Marketing Analytics team's mission is to improve Ford vehicle, service, and subscription sales; marketing efficiency; and customer experience via data and analytics driven decisioning. The role of the Marketing Analytics Measurement and Optimization Manager is to develop and leverage analytics tools and services to forecast, measure, and optimize retail and commercial fixed marketing activity.

The Measurement and Optimization Manager will need to lead a group of product managers, data scientists, software engineers, and data engineers in developing innovative products that leverage various analytics methodologies along with an ever-increasing mix of Generative AI functionality. Additionally, this individual and the team they manage will provide consulting and analytics services to a wide variety of internal automotive retail and commercial marketing clients.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and internal customers to define opportunity for advanced analytics to improve marketing performance
  • Own the development of analytic research and proof-of-concept development to advance fixed marketing optimization products and services
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure that solutions are deployed seamlessly
  • Collaborate internally and externally to identify new and novel data sources and explore their potential use in developing actionable business insights
  • Apply strong working knowledge of Generative AI, machine learning, and statistical modeling to develop and improve analytic models in key fixed marketing optimization tools including Media Mix Modeling and Multi-Touch Attribution.
  • Interpret analytic results and communicate them to technical and non-technical audiences, cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Provide internal consulting services to Marketing and various Ford internal teams.
  • Provide technical guidance on solution techniques and best practices to balance desirability, feasibility, and viability tradeoffs
  • Lead and develop teams of data scientists, software engineers, and data engineers focused on applying advanced analytic techniques and developing custom analytics solutions
  • Vendor and agency management including working with agencies as key analytic data integrator and provider of significant modeling functions including attribution and media mix modeling
  • Lead managers and teams in core Ford areas including product management; OKR development and tracking; roles expectation; and Ford Operating System Behaviors
  • Manage the demand and workflow through the team to ensure optimal customer value delivery
  • Ensure team's Generative AI increasing knowledge, skills, and innovation
  • Work to provide challenging opportunities to drive team member recruitment and retention

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science/Analytics or other quantitative degree (Math, Physics, Computer Science, etc.)
  • 5+ years of substantial data science/analytics experience.
  • 2+ years of hands on Python coding experience
  • 5+ years of experience leading analytic model development through implementation
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team of technical professionals
  • Significant Generative AI knowledge and experience
  • Passion for applying advanced analytic techniques and research to solve real world problems
  • Proficiency working internal business customers and a passion for understanding their challenges
  • Deep understanding of the marketing domain and how to apply various analytics methodologies and solutions to marketing problems
  • Thought leader for how advanced analytics can be applied in new marketing domains
  • Strong team player, with the ability to collaborate well with others, solve problems and actively incorporate input from various sources
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with proven abilities to communicate complex topics to leaders and peers in a simple and clear manner
  • Comfortable working in an environment where problems are not always well-defined
  • Inquisitive, proactive, and interested in learning new tools and techniques
  • Passion for growing and developing team members

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced data science/analytics or quantitative degree (Math, Physics, Computer Science, etc.)
  • Experience with marketing mix modeling methodologies and implementation
  • Experience developing and implementing Gen AI solutions in the marketing analytics domain
  • Automotive marketing/analytics experience
  • Experience with Product Driven Operating Model
  • Experience building, developing, and inspiring a mixed team of data scientists, software engineers, and data engineers

This position is a leadership level 6. Please note, you are required to commute to the Dearborn, MI office 4x a week. Visa sponsorship IS available for this position.
