Job Summary:
The Clinical Lab Scientist is responsible for performing laboratory tests, quality control, and maintenance of equipment. The role requires strong generalist experience, including knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment. The position involves varying start times, rotating weekends, and flexibility to meet unit needs.
Location:Fullerton, California, United States
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures.
- Conduct quality control measures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment.
- Data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs.
- Notify appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Perform selected patient registration activities.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- ASCP-MLT certification
- State License CDPH
- One year of hospital experience
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Epic experience
Special Considerations:
- Rotating weekends, may exceed every other to meet unit needs.
- Scheduling preferences can be considered but are not guaranteed.
- Scheduling requests due to additional employment will not be considered.
- RTO must be included at time of submission.
- Facility is able to call off once per two week pay period.
Scheduling:
- Start times vary between 0500 and 0700 as needed.
