A leading staffing agency is hiring an experienced Bindery Operator (Stitcher Operator/Bindery Stitch Operator) to join a fast-paced, high-quality production environment. What You'll Do

As a Stitcher Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating stitcher binder machinery to produce magazines, catalogs, and other printed materials while ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate stitcher/binder machinery (gathering, stitching, trimming, labeling)
• Review job orders and ensure all specifications and deadlines are met
• Perform machine make-readies and adjustments to minimize downtime and maximize output
• Monitor production quality and machine performance during runs
• Conduct trial runs and ensure products meet specifications before full production
• Coordinate with bindery team members to maintain workflow and meet production schedules
• Adjust trimmer knives, stitch settings, scanners, and detectors as needed
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to keep machines running smoothly
• Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records
• Monitor waste levels and ensure efficiency standards are met
• Maintain clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols (including Lockout/Tagout)

What You Bring

Required:

• 1+ year of experience as a Stitcher Operator in a printing or bindery environment
• Strong knowledge of stitcher machinery setup and operation
• Ability to read job tickets, follow instructions, and perform basic math
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production setting

Preferred:

• Experience operating cutting equipment such as Saber or Wohlenberg cutters
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
