Description – General Machinist

The acceptable candidates shall be required to set up and operate lathes, mills, surface grinders, and hand equipment with minimal supervision. faces and diameters holding tolerances of between .005" and .0002." Ability to inspect internal and external dimensions using micrometers, gages, and amps. Please ensure proper documentation of SPC data and collaborate with management staff and the supervisor. It's helpful to you in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Overtime is generally required—1st piece and in-process inspection of the necessary work.

Job Requirements:–

Set up and operate General Mills, Leaths, and Surface Grinders

Essential Job Functions:

• Ability to operate machinery as required
• Verify part quantity with the job traveler
• Make machine adjustments as necessary to maintain print specifications
• Load and unload machines as per the cycle time noted on the traveler
• Set up machines
• Determine when wheels need replacement
• Assist in determining tool & fixturing needs
• Use inspection methods to determine size changes
• Understanding blueprints & travelers
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card Required

Shift/ Hours: 1st Shift (7 am to 4 pm)
