We are seeking a CNC Machinist to join a world renowned, single source provider of production and automated assembly systems within the aerospace and defence sector. This organisation delivers a full suite of mould and assembly tooling, including some of the largest Invar moulds ever produced, positioning them as the largest tooling group in the industry. The CNC Machinist will play a key role in supporting high precision manufacturing operations.
As the CNC Machinist your responsibilities will include
• Set up and operate 5 axis CNC milling machines in line with job specifications
• Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to determine machining requirements
• Machine a range of materials including Invar, aluminium, composite and graphite
• Perform in process inspection using manual measuring equipment to ensure accuracy
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment while meeting production targets
As the CNC Machinist you will bring
• Proven experience operating 5 axis CNC milling machines
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, ideally 15MB or 30i
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and apply GD and T principles
• Experience working to tight tolerances across complex components
• Competence using manual inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers
The CNC Machinist will benefit from a contract to hire opportunity with long term potential. This role operates on a second shift pattern from 5 pm to 5 am, offering consistent hours and overtime based on business demand. The CNC Machinist will work within a highly specialised aerospace environment, gaining exposure to complex tooling projects and advanced machining techniques.
