What You'll Do, And Why It Matters

As the onsite HR Generalist, you'll be the heart of HR support at your location. You'll operate with independence, confidence, and trust. Your work will directly enhance the employee experience, ensure compliance, and help build a workplace where people feel valued and supported.

You will:

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for all on-site union and non-union employees
  • Support recruitment efforts and onboarding great talent
  • Build strong relationships with employees and leaders, handling day-to-day HR questions and concerns
  • Support employee relations and serve as the first line of support for resolving workplace issues
  • Support FMLA, leaves, benefits questions, wage increases, and personnel changes
  • Help coordinate DOT and non-DOT drug/alcohol testing as needed
  • Partner with operations to support staffing plans and hourly workforce retention
  • Deliver or facilitate training sessions and employee development activities
  • Participate in engagement events, employee recognition programs, and culture initiatives
  • Prepare HR audits, maintain accurate documentation, and support compliance efforts
  • Attend unemployment hearings when required
  • Support HR Manager with ongoing projects, reporting, and unit-wide HR initiatives

Your work will help shape culture, strengthen communication, and elevate the employee experience across the unit all while ensuring we remain aligned with company values and legal requirements.

What You Bring to Our Team

  • 1–4 years of HR experience, ideally in manufacturing, hospitality, or operations
  • Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred you'll interact with a multilingual workforce daily
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and make sound decisions
  • Working knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and employee relations
  • Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, and hourly workforce HR tasks
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or Business preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP a plus
