Key Duties and essential functions
Inspect deliveries for damages, discrepancies, or quality issues.
Check incoming deliveries against purchase orders and packing lists to verify accuracy.
Accurately document received items in inventory systems, ensuring all information is up to date.
Quality Control-Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues in received items and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues.
Report any inconsistencies between shipments and orders.
Pull orders and prepare for shipment. Make pallets/crates used for shipping.
Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of received items in designated warehouse areas.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized receiving area.
Collaborate with the shipping and inventory team to manage stock levels and workflow efficiently.
Report any inventory discrepancies or shortages to supervisors.
Accept or reject shipments as necessary, based on condition or completeness.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and warehouse procedures.
Follow safety protocols when handling shipments, especially heavy or hazardous materials.
Work on spools.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Office 365 skills
Physical ability to lift heavy packages and stand for long periods.
Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
Familiarity with inventory management software preferred.
Forklift certified with 3-5 years experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Lifting and Carrying:
Frequently required to lift, carry, and move items, typically weighing up to 50 lbs. Heavier items may require team lifting or the use of equipment (e.g., pallet jacks or forklifts).
Standing and Walking:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking are common. The job often requires moving around the warehouse or storage areas to receive and organize inventory.
Bending, Stooping, and Reaching:
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching overhead to handle products or inventory on shelves.
Use of Hands and Arms:
Regularly required to use hands and arms for grasping, lifting, and handling boxes, tools, or machinery. Fine motor skills may also be required for data entry or handling smaller items.
Pushing/Pulling:
May need to push or pull heavy carts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks loaded with products.
Climbing:
May involve occasional climbing on ladders or steps to reach items stored on higher shelves.
Working Conditions:
Warehouse or Distribution Environment:
Work is primarily performed in a warehouse or receiving dock environment, which may expose the employee to varying weather conditions.
Temperature Extremes:
May be hot or cold in non-climate-controlled warehouses.
Noise Level:
Warehouses can be noisy, especially when heavy machinery like forklifts or pallet jacks are in use.
Safety Equipment:
May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety shoes, hard hats, or reflective vests, depending on the workplace and job tasks.
Repetitive Tasks:
Many of the tasks involved in receiving (scanning, inspecting, lifting, and moving items) may be repetitive, requiring sustained attention to detail and physical effort
Hourly Range $18-$20 DOE
