Location: Newport Coast Drive, CA
Pay: $30-35/hr
Hours: (Part-Time, Can eventually go to full-time)

We are seeking a skilled and quick-thinking Private Chef to join a busy family household in Newport Beach. This role blends the fast-paced rhythm of a short order cook with the personal touch and care expected in a private home. You will be responsible for preparing fresh, made-to-order meals throughout the day based on the family's preferences, with an emphasis on speed, flexibility, and quality. If you thrive in a dynamic kitchen setting, we'd love to welcome you into our home. This is not a formal fine-dining role but a dynamic, fast-moving kitchen where your ability to adapt and deliver consistently great food will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare a variety of meals and snacks on demand, often with short notice.
• Cook in a fast-paced, order-style format while maintaining food quality and presentation.
• Coordinate meal prep so that all items are ready and served at the same time.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen space.
• Communicate with family members and staff to ensure preferences and dietary needs are met.
• Occasionally source ingredients or handle grocery pickups (reliable transportation required).
• Adapt quickly to changing schedules or requests throughout the day.
• • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

What We're Looking For:
• Prior experience as a chef or short order/line cook, preferably in a high-volume environment.
• Able to cook quickly without sacrificing quality.
• Comfortable with informal settings and flexible meal preferences.
• Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
• Professional, respectful, and responsive to feedback.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Expertise in Indian, Chinese, and other ethnic cuisines.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and preferences.
• • Proven experience as a personnel or restaurant chef (Michelin or fine-dining experience is a plus).
