Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 4x10 day shift contract at an acute care hospital in Mission Viejo, CA, with EP experience strongly preferred.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab at a 488-bed acute care hospital in Mission Viejo, CA
• Day shifts, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Weekend requirement of at minimum every other weekend, with likelihood of exceeding that frequency
• Variable shifts are scheduled as needed, not on a rotating basis
• On-call required approximately 8 days per month
• Charting in Epic (required)
• May be required to float to a sister facility in Laguna Beach
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Strong preference for candidates with EP experience in addition to heart cath experience
• Candidates with strong panning and circulating experience are preferred, ideally in EP
• Current BLS certification required
• Fluoroscopy Permit required
• CA state license required (license required if applicable)
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility should inquire about the local pay rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration — post-offer RTO requests may be denied
• Pending CA license will not be accepted — an active license is required prior to consideration
• Block schedule requests are subject to manager discretion
