Job Title: Title Administrator
Location: Irvine, CA
Schedule: 7am-4pm, 7:30am-4:30pm or 8am-5pm
Pay: $26.44 - $31.25
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Title Clerk / Vehicle Title Specialist to support the processing and management of legal vehicle ownership documents. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely handling of titles related to purchases, transfers, repossessions, and paid-off accounts, while maintaining full compliance with state regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Processing: Prepare, process, and track vehicle titles, registration paperwork, and lien releases.
- Compliance & Accuracy: Review and verify titles for accuracy, including VINs, signatures, assignments, liens, and ownership details in accordance with state regulations.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between the DMV, vendors, brokers, and internal departments to resolve outstanding title issues.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain organized records by scanning and filing documentation for inventory, repossessions, and sold vehicles.
- Problem Resolution: Identify discrepancies and resolve errors in title and registration documentation; respond to related inquiries in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications - High attention to detail with the ability to accurately review legal documentation
- Working knowledge of state DMV regulations and title processing requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Previous experience in clerical, administrative, or motor vehicle/title processing roles preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sense of accountability and follow-through
- Adaptability to changing priorities and urgent requests
- Commitment to completing title transfers accurately and on time
