Messner Reeves LLP, a full-service national law firm, seeks a highly qualified Litigation Paralegal to join its fast-paced, complex litigation team in California.

Position Overview:

This position requires a high degree of interaction with firm partners, associates, and clients. Candidates should have good judgment and impeccable professionalism.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of paralegal experience.
• Must be well-versed in both federal and state court procedures.
• Communicate with team, witnesses, and opposing counsel to ensure complete information is gathered and organized in a timely fashion.
• Experience handling multiple attorneys with full caseloads.
• Utilize electronic format to organize and index medical records and prepare detailed documents and other party records chronologies, identifying and obtaining missing records or materials.
• Experience in legal document preparation, particularly propounding and responding to discovery and preparing initial, expert, and supplemental disclosures.
• Experience tracking and recording time using Prolaw or similar legal billing software.
• Use communication, experience, docketed deadlines, and knowledge of civil procedure rules as a guide.
• Must possess strong attention to detail, be highly organized, and communicate effectively.
• Paralegal Certificate.
• Must be located in California.
