Utilization Review Care Processor

Job Summary
Provide essential administrative support to our utilization management team, playing a key role in facilitating integrated care delivery for our members. Your contributions will help us achieve our mission of delivering high-quality, cost-effective healthcare services.

Essential Job Duties

  • Deliver exceptional clerical, telephone, and data entry support for the care review team.
  • Input authorization requests and provider inquiries into our systems, including verifying eligibility, benefits, provider contracting status, and diagnosis and treatment requests.
  • Respond promptly to authorization requests submitted through various channels, ensuring adherence to operational timeframes.
  • Reach out to physician offices according to department guidelines to follow up on missing information for authorization requests or any additional information as requested by medical directors.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative role, ideally in healthcare, with a focus on correspondence or clinical communications.
  • Experience as a Correspondence Processor at Molina is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to regulatory requirements for letter generation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple letter queues and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clarity in all forms of correspondence.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems, software, and lines of business.
  • Ability to research and integrate feedback to maintain high-quality standards in correspondence.
  • Adept at simultaneously managing multiple tasks while ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to relevant guidelines and policies in processing clinical correspondence.
  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office suite and applicable software programs.

Shift Options

First Position

  • Dayshift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday
  • 5 days / 8-hour shifts

Second Position

  • Dayshift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Schedule: Saturday to Tuesday
  • 4 days / 10-hour shifts

Third Position

  • Night Shift: 10:00 PM - 8:30 AM
  • Schedule: Friday to Monday
  • 4 days / 10-hour shifts

Fourth Position

  • Mid Shift: 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM
  • Schedule: Saturday to Tuesday
  • 4 days / 10-hour shifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in healthcare correspondence or clinical communications, with an understanding of the regulatory and accreditation landscape.

Pay Range: $20.25 - $30.39 / HOURLY
