Join our dynamic team as a Masker at a leading powder coating company located in Fountain Valley, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing parts for painting, coating, or finishing by applying masking materials to designated areas. This position requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow work instructions and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Day shifts are available from 7am to 3:30pm, with potential overtime starting at 5am.

Responsibilities

• Apply tape, plugs, caps, paper, and other masking materials to parts per work instructions and drawings.

• Remove masking materials after processing without damaging parts.

• Inspect parts before and after masking to ensure quality and accuracy.

• Follow specifications, blueprints, and process sheets.

• Maintain clean and organized workstations.

• Handle parts carefully to prevent scratches, dents, or contamination.

• Meet production and quality standards.

• Adhere to all safety, PPE, and environmental procedures.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools.

• Experience in production and masking processes.

• Ability to read and follow blueprints and process sheets.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to load conveyor lines with metal or plastic parts.

• Experience in cleaning metal parts.

• Proficiency in sanding with sandpaper on metal or plastic parts.

• Experience in assisting coaters with preparation tasks.

• Experience in masking by applying tape to areas of part which do not require finish.

• Ability to assist printing operators by shuffling pieces in and out of the printer.

• Experience in cleaning paint off parts with a razor blade or sanding.

• Ability to package parts in paper or plastic bags, stacking onto pallets or in boxes.

• Spanish speaking is preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fountain Valley, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
