Day Porter

Pay: $18.50/hr

Job Summary Details:

The Day Porter ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors throughout the school day. This role provides ongoing cleaning and facility support during operating hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of high-traffic areas (lobbies, restrooms, cafeterias, hallways) throughout the day
• Restock supplies in restrooms and common areas
• Respond promptly to spills, messes, or urgent cleaning needs
• Empty trash and recycling bins regularly
• Able to lift up to 50lbs of equipment if necessary
• Support event setup and furniture arrangement as needed
• Monitor and report facility issues or safety hazards
• Interact professionally with students, staff, and visitors, providing assistance as needed
• Follow all safety and security protocols

Qualifications:

• Experience in custodial, janitorial, or facility support preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to walk, stand, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail
• Flexibility to assist with various tasks as needed
