ASSETS PROTECTION AT TARGET

The Assets Protection (AP) team is essential in maintaining a secure environment for our guests and team members. You will work to prevent theft and fraud, ensuring that products are available for our guests, all while responding effectively during crisis situations.

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN

• Skills in security techniques to protect both guests and team members.

• Experience in crisis response and crowd management.

• Knowledge in de-escalation and merchandise recovery.

• Ability to operate Target's video surveillance system.

• Experience in documenting incidents properly.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SECURITY TEAM MEMBER

• Welcome and engage both guests and team members, assisting them in finding products.

• Maintain safety standards and conduct security assessments throughout the store.

• Respond to and document security incidents accurately.

• Assist in theft prevention by conducting receipt checks for high-value items.

• Support merchandise recoveries and follow AP policies.

• Utilize the video system for security surveillance.

• Train team members on merchandise protection practices.

• Model safe working conditions and a clean environment.

• Exhibit ethical conduct and ensure compliance in all tasks.

• Adapt to additional duties as needed based on business priorities.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Ability to meet local licensing requirements.

• Willingness to embrace new technologies.

• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as a team.

• Effective task management and prioritization abilities.
